We would like to share this opening with the new Islamic Year, Muharram, from a seeker at Qudra Healing from South Africa. Our pattern of sharing dreams through this blog serves as inspiration for us and seekers in the Kingdom and beyond.
In today’s sohbet, discussing the nature of inspiration and the concept of recycling inspiration through active / passive sharing, a seeker responded, I am torn between which is better (to share or contain). The response to this came as, when this state over takes, inspiration questions, ‘it is not you, rather you a vessel which has been emptied in order to recieve. Then why keep for thyself what we send in order to share? It was sent to you, through you for ALL. We wish for you to share, this fragrance in all it’s scent. What then shall be our reply to inspiration?
Note: inspiration must come where there is emptiness; space. Occupation and clutter cannot house or welcome this guest. Through breaking, tearing and being ripped apart we die only to be born again!
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Qudra,
I hope this email reaches you well and in constant spiritual elevation. May Allah increase his gracious favour upon you and your family Inshaa Allah.
I must tell you I had a dream two nights ago – I don’t recall much of the dream but you were in the dream and urging me to drink from the cup. Exclaiming to me, “drink from the wine of Rumi, DRINK!”
I even woke up saying yes I will drink from the wine of Rumi in my sleepy state.
Quite amazing. Left me with a good feeling of comfort Subhanallah.
Just felt I had to share
Much Love,
R
In response to this seeker who previously shared another
dream, a poem that was transmitted to heart a few years ago, came to surface. The very intention of its composition, ‘to drink,’ shall now be shared openly with seekers of the wine. No shame is sharing, reservations no more, for the one who gave the drink through words, the same says, share the cup openly. More than a personal desire to share, we see it as an opening, an order, an obligation. As an initiate of the Mevlevi Order of Rumi, I am pleased to share the drink the love, in whatever way or form requested. I am grateful to seekers on the Path who share dreams as this remains a language, a secret code, our way of communicating where words may fail to express otherwise.
Cup of Love
You’ve asked to drink from the cup of Love
Now let it pour from high above
Savor every sip my friend
You’ll never run to an end
Prepare to fall deep in love
Abducted and placed in a secret cove
You’ll toss and turn
You heart shall burn
You’ll slip and fall
And know none at all
Your body too shall be set aflame
A fiery blaze-yet who’s to blame?
Once you’ve joined the inner tavern
Sip with His friends
Need not beg, borrow, lend
When your cup is almost empty
It shall be filled again aplenty
You’re’ sick in love!
A contagious malady from above
A drunkard
An addict
Whatever you wish, call it
The only way to free yourself
Is to be forever in love.
